Here at Boost Labcare, we are experts in the supply of laboratory equipment, including masticators. Masticators are machines for grinding or pulping material. For example, it can be used to shred rubber scraps and enable the rubber to be recycled after being formed into blocks or sheets.
The term is derived from the process by which humans and animals chew their food, which is crushed and ground by teeth. In a similar way, masticators are machines that are designed to break down materials.
Also known as paddle blenders or stomachers, these types of lab masticators are mainly used in microbiology applications to extract and wash intact microbes into solution. They are very typical tools for food testing laboratories, and commonly used in environmental labs and life science research labs.
Classic masticators are panoramic and work with a process using pressure and motion, in order to expel bacteria and other microbes from a solid sample, circulating them into solution, which is used for downstream analysis.
The basic masticators we supply at Boost Lab Care are designed for use in the food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and clinical laboratories. We provide basic masticators from IUL, which use spring lead paddles which are far more reliable than traditional stomachers. IUL has been providing instruments for a more comfortable, reliable and safe microbiological control since 1987.
We have a choice of regular basic masticators, as well as a more compact masticator design, and a choice of silver masticators, as well as black or blue.
